Fundación León
Tucumán without poverty: We work to reduce poverty and promote inclusion in Tucumán, Argentina.
BREAKING THE CYCLE OF POVERTY
Fundación León hosts evidence-based programs that support families living in extreme poverty. Our mission is to partner with family members and community to prepare for success. Research has shown the León model to be effective in improving educational readiness, parent involvement, empowerment and community participation.
A unique aspect of León is that families not only receive a monthly expenditure, but also benefit from a one-on-one approach, where tutors provide weekly support for families. This system focuses on social skills that help families face challenges and break the cycle of poverty.
