Manos de Hermanos Foundation
We accompany young Wichí people from the communities of western Formosa, so that they can study in university and tertiary education centers in the city of Formosa. Our aim is that upon graduating and returning, they can enrich their communities with the contribution of sciences and understand the richness of ancestral knowledge.
We aim for the young members of the Wichi communities to acquire basic study skills such as reading, writing, and competent communication, enabling them to grasp other languages like physics, chemistry, and mathematics. This will empower them to transmit knowledge and achieve autonomy in their studies. In doing so, we aspire to instill self-esteem and self-confidence in them, helping them recognize that what they possess is not a deficit but something truly valuable, which may not be fully appreciated in their current context.
