Values to the Field - River Plate Foundation
For the past 10 years, the River Plate Foundation has been working for the comprehensive development of girls, boys, and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability through its educational, sports, and social programs. It promotes the values of sports with the aim of contributing to the construction of a more just and integrated society.The results are a reflection of teamwork, both on and off the field. Through its areas of focus: a) Football, Values, and Social Inclusion, b) Strengthening of clubs, c) Educational and social programs; and d) Research, monitoring, and dissemination, the River Plate Foundation has covered a distance of 257,341 km and benefited 89,788 individuals.
"Values to the Field" is the flagship program of the River Plate Foundation, with the goal of providing a space of support for girls, boys, young people, and their families in situations of social vulnerability. It teaches values and healthy habits through soccer, within a framework of healthy habits and relationships, using a specific methodology designed for this purpose.
"Values to the Field" is a comprehensive program designed for girls, boys, and young people aged 6 to 14 who are enrolled in school and live in vulnerable areas of Argentina.
Its aim is to raise awareness about the significant role that values play and their impact on habits and customs both on and off the field.
The program provides a sports and educational space through mixed soccer and values schools. Each school is implemented through:
a) Partnership with a local organization,
b) Weekly sports training spaces (four categories based on developmental ages),
c) Monthly values workshop (with family participation),
d) Spaces for adolescence,
e) Workshops for mothers and fathers,
f) and the promotion of healthy relationships and a healthy lifestyle.
