Ciudadanos por el Cambio y Foro Republicano

Libertad y Progreso is a center for critical thinking and public policy research, applied to solve the problems of citizens, promote the values and principles of freedom. We are a private, independent foundation of any political, religious, business or government group. We do not accept money from the state.

GOALS

We seek to contribute to Argentina’s advancement, working on the development of public policies, raising the level of discussion and promoting citizen participation in the public debate regarding government’s role in our society.

OBJECTIVES

- To develop and promote public policies proposals, seeking toimplement them in a politically viable manner.
- To analyze Argentina’s economic and political context in the light of updated events.
- To work towards the acquisition of new strategic alliances with local and international think tanks, NGOs, universities and press.
- To have an impact on public opinion in Argentina.
- To promote civic participation.

PROGRAMS

 Public Policies Adaptation Project 2016

Considering Argentina’s government is currently facing serious economic and institutional problems, which can only be solved through the implementation of profound changes, our goal is to keep an updated file of Public Policies proposals which, we believe, can help get Argentina back on track.  Video series (spreaded through different online social networks)

In Libertad y Progreso we create and develop short videos, through which we try to demolish popular public myths that abound within our society.
These videos tackle different political, economic and social topics. Our goal is also to communicate and expose our own investigations regarding popular subjects, which have great impact on public opinion. The “Crash Courses in Liberty” series originated from Libertad y Progreso’s second-place pitch in the Think Tank Shark Tank competition at Atlas Network’s 2014 Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner. This video series won the “Juan Carlos Cachanosky Award for Dissemination of Free Society Principles” during Latin American Liberty Forum 2016 held in Guatemala . Libertad y Progreso followed up its idea by developing six videos with original, compelling information and producing them with the participation of political scientist Gloria Alvarez. Already, the videos have garnered more than 10 million views across multiple outlets, including the official Libertad y Progreso YouTube channel.

 LyP Youth Group Program

Organized by LyP, a group of young people get together on a monthly basis in order to debate and discuss different topics or ideas. Each of these meetings is headed by a guest speaker, expert on the specific topic at hand, who guides the debate and answers questions. This is a very enrichening space for all those who choose to participate: http://www.libertadyprogresonline.org/grupo-joven/
