La Casa de Ronald McDonald – Asociación Argentina de Ayuda a la Infancia- , works to improve the health and well being of children and their families in Argentina. The Ronald McDonald House program offers families with seriously ill or injured children a way to stay together, in proximity to the treatment hospital, and be comfortable and cared for during their stay.
La Casa Ronald McDonald Argentina provides lodging and support to families from all over the country with children in highly complex medical treatments at the Hospital Italiano in Buenos Aires, the Hospital Dr. Humberto Notti in Mendoza, the Santísima Trinidad Children's Hospital in Córdoba and the Hospital Dr. José Penna in Bahía Blanca. We also have the the Intensive Care Unit and the Neonatal Unit Family Room for parents, which are located within the Hospital Garrahan Children Hospital; and the Intensive Care Unit in the Santísima Trinidad Hospital in Córdoba. In addition, together with the Austral University Hospital, the Ronald McDonald Mobile Care Unit offers primary medical care for children with difficult access to the health care system in different communities of the country. In 2014, the Association launched a Healthy Habits promotion program aimed to create awareness about actions that improve the quality of life children and families. In 2017 the Welfare Unit was presented to support parents in Hospital Notti in Mendoza and in December our 4th Family Room was opened for 75 fathers and mothers with their children in the Intensive Care Unit at the Sor Ludovica Hospital in La Plata.
