Food Sourcing
The project aims to improve the quantity and the quality of foods distributed by 23 Argentinean Food Banks to their 332.000 beneficiaries.
The project focuses on recuperating fruits and vegetables, types of foods which provide basic nutrients necessary for growth to the beneficiaries of Red, which are mostly children.
In Argentina thousands of fruits and vegetables are thrown away because they don’t meet price in the market or they don’t have the necessary quality to be exported. At the same time, thousands of people suffer the consequences of a inadequate or poor nutrition. This project aims to unite the surplus of fruits and vegetables with the existing necesity.
