Fundación Ruta 40
Fundación Ruta 40 emerges as a venture from a traveling family that felt called to engage with rural Argentine communities. The mission is to contribute to the integral development and strengthening of rural schools, close to National Route 40, to promote equal educational opportunities. We generate sustainable projects with the commitment and participation of the community.
In Fundación Ruta 40 we believe that education is the backbone of the development of a person and their community. We work to provide tools to rural school students so that they can access quality education and thus be able to freely choose their future.
The programs of the Foundation are grouped into 6 work areas, essential for the education and training of students:
EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY
LIBRARY AND PROMOTION OF READING
HUMAN AND COMMUNITY PROMOTION
PROMOTION OF HEALTH AND CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
RESOURCES AND INFRASTRUCTURE
Fundación Ruta 40 supports a total of 73 schools, more than 6.500 students and teachers. We want to be a bridge for rural students that we support every day, have the opportunity to display their potential. What we most want is that they have the tools to choose freely, decide who they want to be and that they can become one.
Programs
-
VISUAL HEALTH FOR THE EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY
The project "Visual health for the whole community" that we carried out with the Fundación Zambrano was born in 2014 to detect and treat early visual problems and thus reduce the effects they could cause in the education and development of children.
-
SCHOOL LIBRARIES
We create school libraries where students and teachers can access different types of texts and enjoy the pleasure of reading. We carry out different activities to promote and stimulate reading and thus encourage literacy.
-
Digital Innovation
Fundación Ruta 40 has sought to promote inclusion in the digital culture, providing innovative tools that complement and enrich the teaching proposals in the classroom, in order to contribute to the improvement of the quality of education in rural schools.
