Our work started on the year 1986 with a home for children in the Parish San Antonio de Padua, in the Capital City. This Home directed by Father Pablo Marcenaro and a group of young volunteers, offered homeless children, lodging, clothes, human and moral education, health care and recreation. In the year 1994 this place became Home “Arca de Noé”, located in the city of Paso del Rey, In Moreno, depending on the Foundation “Todavía es Tiempo”.The main objective of this Home, since it was created up to now, is providing support to homeless children, by means ofmain values such as solidarity, respect, education and Christian training, and also fulfilling food and clothing, owed to the socio cultural and financial problems of the families in the zone.
GOALS
Our mission is promoting the development through education, health and work culture in poor zones prioritizing children, teenagers and youngsters.
VISION
We are aware of the needs of the community of Paso del Rey and nearby neighborhoods, and we want t be an open organization, providing support and promotion, to offer a prosperous future for its members.
VALUES
We want to build based on the values of “Family, study and work, slidarity, effort and perseverance; ia, estudio y trabajo; solidaridad; esfuerzo y perseverancia; friendship, generosity and loving the truth,the community and the country.
PROGRAMMS
First childhood: Community Kindergarten with the following workshops: Music, Environmental Training, Sports, Value Training, Scripture.
Childhood and Teenagers: Support school, scholarships, Dining Room, art workshops, sports, summer school, Values training and Bible Studies.
Joungsters and adults: Family orientaton, Vocational Orientation Workshops, University tutors, labor practice and training, entrepeneurships.
We have worked for over 37 years as an institution jointly with the needed, almost alone, with the support of few people and facing many difficulties, but growing in quality and quantity facing the problems. Today we have a large infrastructure to deal with all these needs and we are making a great effort to reach more people and generate a larger impact, always trying to be part of the construction of more fair and inclusive society.
